Family or residence accommodation
All our students are accommodated in our
carefully selected host families in either single or shared room
accommodation. The families provide breakfast, packed lunch and dinner.
Our families usually take two or three foreign guests, and we aim to
accommodate students of different nationalities with each family.
Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria
of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a
precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to
communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the
language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of
the immersion courses!

Excursions
Every Saturday, all students who have booked the activities
program join the full-day Saturday excursions. Accompanied by our
activity leaders, the students are taken to local places of interest
and leisure parks. For example, the "Surfing Town" of Newquay in
Cornwall, the historic cities of Plymouth and Exeter, the adventure
parks at Woodlands and Crealy, and Dartmoor National Park. The
Saturday full-day excursions are included in the package price.
All students can choose to visit London on one of the
Saturday full-day excursions.
|
Parties Every week we invite all our students
to a Party Evening, always one of the highlights of the week. Our
activity leaders organize and supervise the party, making sure that
the party really swings! The parties are included in the package
price.
|
Activity Program
All enjoy a full activities program of
sports, games and visits to local attractions, from Monday to Friday
each week. These include boat trips to the neighbouring seaside
towns of Brixham and Torquay, to the famous Kents Cavern, and
Paignton Zoo, the third largest zoo in England, the Waterslide Park
at Quaywest, as well as games at the local leisure centre.
In addition to the daytime activities, two extra evening activities
such as Karaoke or Cinema are included in the activity package
price.

Local Transport
Some students may need to take a bus
to school and some may want to be able to travel easily around
Torbay. Some of our students buy a local bus pass (approximately £13
per week). Distances from the homestays to the school range from 5
minutes walk to 20 minutes by local bus.
Looking after our
students
Our team of activity leaders organize and supervise the daily
program of activities and are always available to deal with any
individual requests.
