Objective of the internships The objective of the company internships is to provide candidates with professional experience in a French-speaking environment. These internships are open to candidates of 20 years old (minimum), having intermediate-level knowledge of the French language (as assessed by the evaluation test to be completed by the candidate). These internships should not be confused with student jobs. They offer a real opportunity to familiarise oneself with the company environment as experienced abroad, while simultaneously availing of the opportunity to master a foreign language. Organisation A minimum period of 4 weeks is required to suitably organise an internship for you. In the busy season (Summer and Fall), a period of 4-8 weeks may be necessary to meet specific requests. We would advise you not to book your transport ticket until the trip has been confirmed. In your letter requesting the internship, you will indicate the sector(s) of activity which interest you. In most cases, it is better to choose a sector in which you already have a certain experience or a diploma . As soon as all the documents have been received , including the French language test, research will be carried out with the aim of meeting your requirements. A written proposal will be faxed to you, indicating the sector of activity of the company selected, the department in which you will be required to work, any projects which will be assigned, and the most exhaustive possible description of the tasks to be carried out. In the event that you reject the proposal, the school will endeavour, to the best of its ability, and as rapidly as possible, to send you a second proposal. If this second proposal is rejected, the school will submit no new offers, and there will be no charge for the work undertaken. The school will confirm you the internship by sending an invoice which must be settled in full prior to the commencement of the internship. Prior to the commencement of the internship, you will meet with one of our representative. You will then make your own way to the company in question to have your first pre-arranged meeting with your overseer (the person responsible for you during the internship). The school will constantly monitor the functioning of the internship throughout. The costs associated with the organisation of the internship cover only one such operation. If you wish to acquire experience in several companies, there will be additional costs involved. Sectors of activity

A European centre, Brussels is characterised by the considerable diversity of its sectors of activity. Its role within the European Union has inexorably acted as a magnate, drawing numerous companies who have set up their headquarters there. A cultural city which has been subjected to a wealth of influences, Brussels has an intense cultural life. It has always attracted writers and artists of various views, and Belgian artists contributed extensively to building its world-wide reputation . Whether architects, painters, writers or musicians, well-known personalities such as Victor Horta, René Magritte, Paul Delvaux, Hergé or Jacques Brel, attest to the cultural wealth of our city and country. A « green » city, there are numerous parks throughout the city, which offer the visitor the opportunity for lay strolls to get away from it all. And if he is lucky, the attentive stroller may catch sight of a deer in the Soignes forest, a few kilometres from the heart of the city ...
A historical city,
Brussels has been a waled city since the 10th century. A
trading cross-roads since the Middle Ages, its exceptional geographical
location made it the envy of many countries. The city experienced 5
centuries of foreign dominance, alternating periods of ostentation and
decadence under Spanish, Austrian, French and Dutch domination, before
eventually opting for independance in 1830 and putting itself forward as
a liberal and progressive city.
