Learn English in Sliema in Malta  

The school is in Sliema, city facing in La-Valetta, capital of this small republic. In Sliema, everything is made on foot. The school is in the town center, in front of the port. Created in 1985, the school is equipped  with cafeteria, meeting and conference rooms, video, TV, library. Taught English is British English, 2nd official language of the country after Maltese.

Tuition programs

• 1 lesson: 45 minutes.
• Minimum age: 18
• Schedule: 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM, flexible according to the program chosen.
• 10 students per class.
• Mini group: 6 students per class
• All levels available.
   
• Cambridge exams preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE): 8 weeks, 20 lessons per week. Please foresee 1 additional week for exams. Intermediate level required. Exam fees 135€ to be paid on the spot.
   
• IELTS 20 lessons per week. 8 weeks.  Upper intermediate level required. Please foresee 1 additional week for exams. Exam fees 160€ to be paid on the spot.
   
• Business English: Upper intermediate level required to follow this course. 30 lessons per week, . Will be 20 lessons general english and 10 lessons business mini group 6 students per class.
   
• Course for SENIORS 50+: 20 lessons per week + numerous activities indoor or outside the school during the week and on Saturday. Minimum 2 weeks stay. Beginners not accepted.
   
• School material
• Evaluation and attestation of linguistic training.
• Internet and Email: 30 minutes: 1.5€ . To be paid on the spot.
• Evening party each Monday.
• Activities organized by the school twice a week.

Starting dates

• Complete beginners MUST start the first Monday of each month.
   
• Other levels. each Monday.
   
• CAMBRIDGE, FCE, CAE, CPE: course starting dates:
  8 weeks FCE, CAE: January 19, April 20 or October 12.
  8 weeks CPE: April 22 or October 12.
   
• IELTS: course starting dates:
  8 weeks: February 23, September 14, October 12 .
   
• SENIORS 50+: 2 weeks. Starting February 9, April 6, May 18, October 12, November 9.

School closing dates

The school will be closed between December 21 and January 2nd, 2010.

Available options:

• Airport transfers: 35 Euros round trip (both ways)
                 Airport - accommodation
  Recommended airport: La Valetta, MALTA.
   

• English and scuba diving: upon request.
  

• All our rates are valid from January 1st till December 31st, 2009 and never include the plane ticket.

• Aparthotel, full equipped. Single or double occupancy . 20 minutes walking distance from the school. No meal. Private bathroom. American kitchenette. Double for 2 people travelling together.
   

• Studio, 1 or 2 people, no meal. If you are alone, single occupancy prices apply.
   

• Hotels 3 stars, single or double occupancy for 2 people arriving and traveling together, breakfast included.
  
                            * Sharing is guaranteed if double occupancy bedroom is required.

 

Prices depend on periods:

Period 1 (P1) : January 1st to March 28th  &  October 25th to December 31st.
Period 2 (P2) : March 29th  to June 13th & September 13th to October 24th.
Period 3 (P3) : June 14th to September 12th.

"BETWEEN" means that prices can be neither lower or superior to the given amounts. The school is in partnership with several residences 3 stars or local hotels (3, 4 or 5 stars) to accommodate students. According to the availability on time of registration and also to your own wishes, the final price will be given by the school after reception of your registration.

Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise conditions of contract: : excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!

Below reduced rates for bookings 8 weeks and up with a 3 stars residence, double or single occupancy, no meal.

City information

Malta, right in the heart of the Mediterranean sea, between SICILY and the coasts of TUNISIA, will be the place of dream for a disorientation without limit.
Main tourist centre and biggest city of the island in the North of La-Valetta, SLIEMA is separated from the capital by Marsamxett Harbour, in the baroque harmony. Its hotels, its modern buildings and its night-life make the charm of Sliema. It is situated in the seaside and possesses a very beautiful marina.
