Learn English in Brighton in England

General English courses of 20 or 30 group lessons per week,  IELTS, TOEFL or CAMBRIDGE (FCE,CAE,CPE) exams preparation, academic semester, private courses, business English, internship.

Our school is situated in 3 Georgian buildings close to the seafront and is just 10 minutes’ walk from the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier. Within 5 minutes’ walk from the school is a convenient shopping area catering for your every need. Established in 1982, the centre has earned an international reputation for quality tuition and excellent teachers. The school has a total of 21 classrooms, 6 of which are designed for small groups or private tuition. School facilities include wireless internet connectivity and a computer room for email and internet access. You can also improve your English using multimedia CD-ROMs. There is a library with a study area and the cosy cafeteria is a great place to meet with other students. The cafeteria offers a variety of mouth-watering snacks and hot meals.

Tuition programs.

  • 1 lesson: 45 minutes
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Schedule: 08:30 AM to 3:30 PM flexible according to the chosen program.
  • During summer season, schedules may change a little.
  • Maximum of 12 students per class (average of 10).
    Mini group: 6 per class
     
  • Academic semester: 24 weeks. Holidays will last from 1 to 3 weeks. 20 or 30 lessons per week.
     
  • IELTS exam preparation: 4 weeks. 30 lessons per week. Minimum level required intermediate. General English + IELTS exam preparation. Exam takes place at the end. Fees to be paid on site.
     
  • TOEFL exam preparation: 4 weeks. 30 lessons per week. Minimum level required intermediate. General English + TOEFL exam preparation. Exam takes place at the end. Fees to be paid on site.
     
  • Business English, 23 years old minimum: 6 per class. 20 lessons per week specific to the business world. 2 weeks minimum. Intermediate level required.
     

  • CAMBRIDGE preparation: 10 or 12 weeks according to the starting day. 20 or 30 lessons per week. Exam takes place at the end. Fees to be paid on site.
     

  • Orientation city tour the first week.
  • Language laboratory and video room
  • Evaluation and attestation of linguistic training
  • Access to internet and email.

  • Internship: placement in a company of the region for a work experience going from 3 weeks to 6 months maximum. A 4 weeks english course is beforehand compulsory. A CV and a letter in support of application in English are compulsory with your registration. Unique placement fees.

  • Family, single or double occupancy bedroom, 2 meals per day. Superior family available with a higher standard of living, private bathroom.
     
  • In residence, normal or superior, single or double occupancy bedroom, no meal. A 100 GBP deposit as guarantee will be paid on arrival and refunded on departure if no dammage caused. Kitchen, living room, bathroom are shared. 
    ATTENTION: SINGLE occupancy only during July and August.

        Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise conditions of contract: : excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses !

Since Regency times, Brighton has been a pleasure ground for visitors, with a wealth of attractions full of charm, style and eccentricity.

Royal Pavilion

The spectacular seaside palace of the Prince Regent (George IV) transformed by John Nash between 1815 and 1822 into one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the British Isles. The Pavilion houses furniture and works of art including original pieces lent by HM The Queen and a magnificent display of Regency silver-gilt. Magnificent decorations and fantastic furnishings have been re-created in a £10 million extensive restoration programme. The Queen Adelaide tearooms provide a sweeping view over the Pavilion gardens, which have also been returned to their original Regency splendour. Pavilion Shop.

Come and enjoy Brighton's unique shopping experience. Wander through the 17th century Brighton Lanes and pick up ideas for jewellery, designer clothes, interior design, perfumes, hats and shoes or relax alfresco in Brighton Square, right in the heart of The Lanes. Brighton's North Laine has a laid-back bohemian charm and over 300 unique, individual and quirky shops.

For a taste of high-street shopping, Brighton's Churchill Square has over 80 stores under one glass-domed roof. If bargain hunting is your thing visit the indoor and outdoor antique and flea markets across the city.
